0 is a coin flip and 1 is a fixed property. Each bar is one measure correlated with itself across the same season. Opportunity sits at the top and efficiency at the bottom, and that ordering is the single most useful thing on this page.

What this number is worth

It is closer to a role description than to a skill: a player used deep will post a high number and one used on screens a low one, and the role is more stable than the number.

This is why receiving yards are modeled directly here rather than as catches times yards per catch. Yards per game repeats at 0.87; the decomposition into 0.89 and 0.33 throws that away.

Split-half reliability 0.33 (0.49 projected to a full season) across 2,692 player-seasons, 2018–2025, every player with at least four games in each half of a season. Measured 2026-09-29 by tools/reliability_players.py; the boards above are built by the same query engine the assistant uses.
